- FOOTAGE LICENSE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Licensed Rights. The Association of Surfing Professionals LLC d/b/a World Surf League ("WSL") hereby grants to you (the email recipient) a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable, and limited right to use the Footage for reporting and coverage of current events in any and all television and online media on a royalty-free, worldwide basis. This Footage License shall expire two (2) weeks from the date of this email being sent. Footage used in accordance with these Terms does not need to be removed from media, unless specifically requested by WSL. Where the Footage is used in any way online, a link to www.worldsurfleague.com must exist where the Footage is visible.
Excluded Rights. No rights for commercial use or modification of the Footage (except to shorten the Footage, provided that such shortening is only to the extent and in such form necessary for news coverage and does not materially alter the substance and/or context of the Footage) are granted in any way, including without limitation, any association made with a commercial brand or message. Should you decide the content is needed for commercial purposes, please contact WSL’s licensing department at licensing@worldsurfleague.com for permission. ALL RIGHTS NOT SPECIFICALLY PROVIDED IN SECTION 1 ABOVE ARE RESERVED BY WSL.
Disclaimer. The Footage is provided and must be used on an "as is" basis and no warranty is provided for its use by you. No rights with respect to individuals, music, or brands contained within the Footage are granted hereby (except as they may appear in the Footage only).
Choice of Law. This Footage License shall be governed by the laws of the State of California without reference to any choice of law principles.
WSL’s Intellectual Property Rights. WSL owns all rights in and to the Footage, including without limitation, all copyrights therein.
